Client East Sussex County Council Main Contractor Keir Regional Value £2,800,000 Project Duration 50 weeks Gleave Partnership Role Quantity Surveyors Whitehouse School was built on a greenfield site, requiring deep cut into sloping ground in order to visually site the school into the surrounding area. The building consisted of a steel framed structure with traditional masonry walling. The building incorporates many energy saving and environmental initiatives such as solar panels, sun pipes, photo voltaic panels and rainwater harvesting. The school included a bespoke library and multi function hall. The design for this project has achieved an good BREEAM rating.
